Blue’s Day at the Lake
There was once a cat named Blue who liked to go for walks by the lake. He would watch the ducks swim and he admired them very much. He was envious that the ducks could swim in the water so gracefully, gliding across the lake like they were gently being blown by the wind. One day, Blue decided that he would try to swim. He was nervous about jumping in and was about to abandon his goal when a Dalmation came running towards him. Blue was startled and he lept into the lake to escape. Panicked, Blue thought that he would sink, but he didn’t. Instead, he floated. When he tried to run, Blue found his four legs propelling him forward as he glided across the lake just like the ducks. Blue was overjoyed that he could swim and wondered if he should try flying next.
