Critters
There are many advantages to having long arms. Stevie’s long arms enabled her to run fast, reach into small spaces, and of course, catch little rodents like mice and chipmunks. She enjoyed playing with fake mice and feathers too, but there was nothing she liked more than a live toy. At first, Stevie brought her live toys to the humans so they could admire her trophies. Instead of celebrating her successes, the humans spent hours trying to catch and release the creatures. This was very frustrating for Stevie and she didn’t understand why they would do that. Even though the humans’ behavior didn’t make sense to Stevie, she decided that there was no use getting them to understand. She would have to enjoy the critters herself, so he hid them in the attic.
