Follow Me to the Creek

Posted on June 24, 2026June 24, 2026 by catsbylinda

A collaborative story by the visitors and vendors at
Mower’s Saturday & Sunday Flea Market
Written on June 20-21, 2026 (IMPROV DAY)

Patricia was having the best day.

The sun was shining and it was warm, a beautiful summer day.

And then, she noticed a small butterfly.

It wasn’t that the butterfly called for her attention; it was quite bland in fact.

It was what was around the butterfly, a soft purple glow was emanating around it as it flapped its wings.

Then the butterfly spoke to me. It said, “Follow me to the creek.”

I was hesitant, but decided to follow the butterfly.

It took me down the creek and there was a man and his wife in deep discussion. I walked a little closer, wondering what the hassle was about.

Then a giant cat came down from the sky and said, “¡HOLA! Todos son bienvenidos aqui.”

The man and the woman turned toward the cat and sighed deep sighs of relief.

The cat said, “My name is Jacob Elordi.” Then he said, “Now listen. You either get a meal or no deal because that’s how you heal purrrr…”

“Far out man, you’re a cool cat too, Meow, now it’s your turn to…

fly,” Jacob Elordi began to purr and the butterfly landed on his nose.

The purple glow began to grow, surrounding the cat and the two people. They levitated over the creek bed, then flew higher and higher and higher.

“Well, that was weird,” thought Patricia as she went back to the market to break down her table.

THE END.
