Miranda knew she had made a mistake…
when she decided to take a job 3 hours from home.
It was on a secluded island in the middle of a lake.
People spoke of a “secret,” but she hadn’t been able to get more information…
until her curiosity sparked a conversation with one of the locals.
“Tell me the best place to get coffee,” was a code for “tell me your true heart’s desire.”
Because I love living, I will enjoy life.
“Meet me at the underground Poet’s Cafe. What is to be revealed will surely spark your imagination.”
Everyone was dressed in a costume and mask.
Outside of the cafe was a pool with alligators and sea otters, but they didn’t bother each other.
While no one was looking, one of the otters reached down and pulled something out of his pocket. It was a bright, shining…
tea pot. The otter loved Chinese tea.
Then we all sat around the pool.
“But wait,” he yelled.
“What is that over there? A plane, a creature?”
It was a sea monster, similar to Champ or Nessie. However, this was not a Loch and this was not a monster. He was more like Puff the Magic Dragon.
Miranda climbed on his back and it dove under the sea. It showed her all the mysteries of the sea and then they arrived at an undersea castle. It agreed to grant her one wish. “What is your wish?” it asked. She looked at it and said, “I wish to wake up now.” Then she did.
